Abstract: Objective To improve accuracy of surgery cost accounting and instantaneity of cost data providing so as to improve resource utilization rate of operating room, work efficiency and cost management level.Methods Surgery Sophisticated Cost Management Information System was designed and developed based on hospital information platform to calculate main surgery cost of each inpatient, including chargeable consumable, not chargeable consumable, instruments, manpower and operating table.ResultsSurgery Sophisticated Cost Management Information System developed by the end of September 2005 can create comprehensive report forms of singleton surgery income and cost automatically in order to guide clinical practice and enhance cost control of surgery.
