Abstract: SWOT analysis method was adopted to analyze the opportunities and challenges brought by and strengths and weaknesses of private hospitals joining the Medical Alliance, and to discuss ways in which private hospitals could facilitate their own development by grasping the good opportunities brought by the new round of medical reform that encourages establishment of medical institutions by social forces and promotes the hierarchical medical system.
