Abstract: Clinical pathway is an effective method to optimize health care procedure, improve doctors' and patients' satisfaction, reduce average length of stay, decrease medical costs, reduce medical errors and improve work efficiency of medical care personnel. However, the traditional pathway and separate management of doctors, nurses and patients have led remarkable increase of workload for medical treatment, nursing and management. This article analyzed informatization of clinical pathway from several aspects including implementation background, meaning of application, supporting technology and found information management of clinical pathway had a good development trend.
