Abstract: Hospital Information System is developing rapidly due to the widely utilization of electronic medical record in developed countries. The purpose of Hospital Information System is to manage hospital in a modern, scientific and standardized way so as to improve work effect and quality in hospital. Through analysis of advantages and disadvantages of electronic medical record, this article discussed the current situation, advantages and disadvantages, safety, influencing factors in using and system evaluation of different Hospital Information Systems in foreign countries in order to find out the future development direction.
