Abstract: Hospital data are reflection of the medical activities of hospital, an important basis for hospital management decisions, and the main basis for national medical and health care decisions. However, there are many problems regarding hospital data quality, including data distortion, lag of quality management system, lack of quality evaluation and control mechanism, which are caused by multiple factors including institutional mechanisms, methods and systems, and practical applications. This paper explores the establishment of data quality monitoring and evaluation systems for hospital medical business statistics system, and proposes the general idea and work procedures for the establishment of hospital statistic data quality monitoring and evaluation system, based on statistic quality monitoring reports and the previous practice of reporting to National Health and Family Planning Commission.
