Abstract: When sonic conductance of orifices is calculated, the diameter and length of the orifice are generally taken into accountbut the gap between the orifice and baffle at present. In this paper, based on the engineering needs, the mathematical model of the theoretical analy-sis and calculation model in Simulink is established for the calculation of the sonic conductance of pneumatic orifice with baffle.Based on the data of critical pressure ratio obtained by Simulink,a formula for calculating the critical pressure ratio is proposed. Then a formula for calculating the sonic conductance of orifice with baffle is proposed.The parameters in the calculation formula can be determined by the com-bination of experiment data. Therefor the formula can be simplified. The effectiveness and scope of the formula is verified by Fluent simula-tion data.
