Abstract: On the basis of the failure date analysis in the process of using some type of plungerpump, the paper established failure date mod-el. On the premise of safety and from perspective of availability, the paper evaluated the feasibility of prolonging the regular replacement cy-cle of the pump from 350h to 400h by comparing such parameters as its availability.
