Abstract: Objective To discuss the relationship among work engagement, psychological capital and work performance of emergency physicians in general hospitals and provide a basis for improving organizational management in hospitals.Method Carried out questionnaire survey among emergency physicians in nationwide tertiary general hospitals. Collected 277 valid questionnaires and used SPSS 22.0 to conduct data analysis.Results Work engagement had a significant positive influence on work performance. Psychological capital played a significant mediating role and the four sub-dimensions of psychological capital played a partially significant mediating role.Conclusion Emergency physicians would have different psychological states at work and show different work engagement, which would have different influence on their work performance. Thus, hospitals could attach more importance to the development of emergency physicians' psychological capital to improve their work engagement and work performance.
