Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of process management on ultrasound examination for critical inpatients.Methods 80 critical inpatients from March 2010 to February 2015 in our hospital were selected (in accordance with the admission standard for critical patients). They were divided into the treatment group with process management (40 cases) and the control group without process management (40 cases). Investigated the satisfaction on process management between two groups and analyzed the results.Results Before the process management implemeatation, patient's satisfaction rate to paysicians was 72.5%, the propability of patient's complain was 15%. The incidence of adverse events and nurse job satisfaction was 32.5% and 72.5% respectively. However, the above four indicators for treatment group were 90.0%, 7.5%, 5.0% and 95% respectively, with statistical significance (P<0.05) after implementing process management.Conclusions Process management on ultrasound examination for critical inpatients could raise the patient satisfaction and medical staffs' working efficiency. It is a scientific, efficient and safe nursing management method, which is worth clinical promotion.
