Abstract: 【Objective】The chemical constituents of Camellia nitidissimavar.longistyla were investigated.【Methods】Column chromatographies, such as silica gel adsorption chromatography, thin layer chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography preparation, recrystallization, and other modern methods and techniques were used to isolate and purify the chemical constituents. They were further determined by UV,IR,1 H-NMR,13C-NMR,MS and other spectroscopic methods.【Results】Eight compounds were identified from C.nitidissima var.longistyla, including stigmasterol(1),stigmast-7-en-3-ol(2),astilbin(3),eucryphin(4),quercetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside(5),quercetin-3-O-D-glucopyranoside(6),palmitic acid(7)and 3β-acetoxy-6a,13β-dihydroxyolean-7-one(8).【Conclusion】Except for stigmasterol, the remaining seven compounds were first isolated from the plant of this species.
