Abstract: As an important part of public hospital reform, the compensation mechanism after abolishing drug price addition policy is a problem that the related stakeholders need to face and think. In this paper, new healthcare reform policy documents and pilot compensation mechanism were analyzed. The author proposed that the government should fulfill its major responsibility, improve price formation and adjustment mechanism of medical service, deepen medical insurance payment reform , establish hierarchical diagnosis system, separate administrative functions and standardize drug production and circulation. Meanwhile, public hospitals should innovate management process, strengthen internal management and explore potential cost-saving. In this way, each stakeholder would work together to promote public hospital reform.
