Abstract: Objective To discuss the application effect of safety management in emergency nursing.Methods The emergency patients who were received and treated between January 2011 and December 2012 and the incumbent nurses during that period were selected as control group. The emergency patients who were received and treated between January 2013 and December 2014 and the incumbent nurses during that period were selected as observation group. Control group adopted the hospital care routine for emergency management pattern and observation group combined hospital care routine with the safety management and implemented scientific management in aspects of people, materials and environment. The clinically relevant indexes of two groups were compared.Results The differences regarding patient satisfaction, complaint rate, the incidence of adverse events and the life quality, mental health and job satisfaction of nurses were statistically significant (P< 0.05). The patient satisfaction and the life quality, mental health and job satisfaction of nurses were statistically improved.Conclusion The implementation of the safety management can improve the life quality, mental health and job satisfaction of nurses, and patient satisfaction. Therefore, the safety management is feasible.
