Abstract: Objective To study the impact of risk management in emergency department on its nursing quality and patients' satisfaction. Methods 200 patients admitted by emergency department from January 2013 to December 2013 were treated as the control group and conducted conventional emergency nursing interventions. Another 200 patients who were randomly selected from emergency department from January 2014 to December 2014 were treated as the treatment group and conducted nursing risk management interventions. Compared the nursing quality, nursing risk event rates and patients' satisfaction between two groups.Results The nursing quality scores of the treatment group like basic care, clerical disinfection and isolation were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Nursing defect rate, error rate and nursing complaint rate of the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The risk event reporting rate and nursing satisfaction rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing risk management interventions in emergency department can significantly improve the nursing quality and patients' satisfaction on nursing.
