Abstract: The plane confrontation joint is designed according to the actuating characteristics of pneumatic artificial muscle. In the system, pneumatic proportional pressure reducing valve is adopted to regulating artificial muscle stress. To study the static characteristic of joint an-gle, the confrontation joint angle test rig is build and experiments are carried out. Results show that there is deviation between the theoretical and the actual angles.
