Study and Application on Sealing Performance of Swagelog at Ultra-low Temperature

Abstract: Currently, there are many sealing performance analyses about swagelog at normal and high temperature. However, there are few sealing performance analyses of swagelog at ultra-low temperature (-50℃~-150℃). In LNG liquefaction process, swagelog of two-ferrule 10mm diameter are used as pipe sealing of ultra-low temperature valve. The result shows that when high quality 304 stainless steel precision tubes and swagelogs are used on the premise that they are processed precisely and installed professionally, the swagelog has the good perfor-mance at ultra-low temperature.
