Simulation Research of a Piston Pump Characteristic Based on AMESim

Abstract: The characteristic f a piston pump with flat valves was analyzed. Its model was established in AMESim and the performance of pressure and flow, the cavity pressure changing, the kinematics of opening and closing of inlet valve and outlet valve, the influence factor of vibration were studied by simulation. The simulation results show that the results are consistent with the design parameters of the pump and opening lags behind closing between inlet valve and outlet valve. In addition, the inlet pipe with rubber hose is beneficial to reduce not only the impact that spool beat on valve-seat, but also the pressure pulsation.
