Abstract: Aiming at the research of the vibration characteristics of large-scale nuclear power equipment's dry gas seal apparatus, software ANSYS was used for the free and constrained modal analysis of the spiral groove dry gas seal rotary ring model. Its inherent frequency and mode of vibration were obtained, providing a basis for dynamic response analysis of the rotary ring; The rotary ring's inherent frequency of free state was obtained by LMS vibration test and compared with the result calculated by the software. Therefore, the reliability of the modal analysis of the software was verified by the error between them. The inherent frequency and mode of vibration obtained by software analysis and LMS vibration test illustrated that the ANSYS Finite Element Analysis was reliable.Sealing structure can be improved based on the re-sults of the analysis.
