Abstract: In order to study the application of variable volume pneumatic chamber in AMESim pneumatic model, two models of Equalizing Reservoir Control Portion, which are one of the pneumatic components of Electro-Pneumatic Control Unit of CCB II brake control system, are established based on the analysis of the mechanism of modeling method of applying variable volume pneumatic chamber. Through simu-lation of the two models, the air pressure in equalizing reservoir, the displacement of valve core in triple valve and the change of variable vol-ume pneumatic chamber's volume can be compared. The results show that by the application of variable volume pneumatic chamber, the ac-tual situation of pneumatic volume's change of the valve cavity can be correctly reflect, and the model built more scientific. Thus, the model-ing method of applying variable volume pneumatic chamber is feasible.
