Abstract: By utilizing nonlinear finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA,the material parameters of Mooney-Rivlin model. The nonlinear finite element model of Stirling engine’s cap seals was set up and the influence of different installation conditions on contact stress of contact surface. The distribution of contact stress and contact stress on contact surface was achieved. And three conditions were test-ed on the sealed test stand. According to the pressure changes with time of top gas, analyzing the different stages of different installation con-ditions and obtaining the installation condition of the longest life expectancy. The best installation condition of Stirling engine’s cap seal was achieved combined the theoretical and experimental results.
