Abstract: According to the characteristics and technical conditions for large forging press cylinder, design and development of the whole supporting cylinder seals, to solve the problem of high pressure seal which have large diameter, large expansion quantity and large extrusion gap. According to the case of seal service and the form of sealing failure, analysis the causes of sealing failure, point out the problems of cyl-inder design and failure seal, put forward the relevant improvement measures and a better sealing solutions, in order to improve the reliabili-ty and the service life of the sealing.
