Abstract: Objective To study the effect of the application of daily review analysis in the continuous improvement of nursing quality.Methods The content of daily review analysis included head nurses' daily inspections, health secretaries' recording of the contents related to nursing quality deficiency and together assessment of each nurse's performance based on their work of their registered patients at the evening shift changes. Ward based nursing qualified rate, ward management qualification rate, specific nursing rate, critical patients nursing qualified rate and medication safety management qualified rate were compared before and after the implementation of daily review analysis.Results After the implementation of daily review analysis, all the rates increased including ward based nursing qualified rate, ward management qualification rate, specific nursing rate, critical patients nursing qualified rate and medication safety management qualified rate. Compared with the rates before the implementation of daily review analysis, there was difference with statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion Daily review analysis was an effective method of quality improving and was appropriate for ward nursing quality management.
