Abstract: Objective Discuss clinical effect of directly observed therapy on patients with tuberculosis. Method 200 patients who had been in the department of infectious disease in our hospital for the treatment of tuberculosis between January 2013 and December 2013 were randomly divided into 2 groups. The treatment group was managed with directly observed therapy by nurses while the control group was managed by the patients themselves. Observe and compare the treatment effect and adverse reaction of the two groups. Results (1)The interruption rate of treatment and medication of treatment group is significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05).(2)After 2 months' intensive treatment, negative conversion ratio of smear anti-acid staining and lesion absorptivity in treatment group were significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05).(3)The incidence of adverse reactions in treatment group was lower than e control group (P<0.05) Conclusion Directly observed therapy can ensure the continuity of tuberculosis treatment and improve the recovery rate of tuberculosis.
