Effect of Nursing Management on Self-health Behavior among Nurses in Infectious Diseases Department

Abstract: Objective To study the effect of nursing management on the management of nurses in infectious diseases department. Methods We analyzed the occupational risk factors among nurses in infection diseases department and implemented the nursing management according to the risk factors, and then we compared the self-health management behavior, occupational exposure, mental state and satisfaction degree of nursing before and after the implementation of management respectively. Results After the implementation of nursing management, nurses got higher scores in the aspects of theoretical knowledge on infection prevention, normative nursing operation and consciousness of infection prevention than that before the implementation of management, and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05). After the implementation of management, the incidence of occupational exposure as well as anxiety and depression scores were lower than that before implementation and patients' satisfaction degree was higher than that before. There were statistically significant differences of these results (P<0.05). Conclusion To implement and strengthen the nursing management is conducive to improving the self-health management behavior among nurses in infectious diseases department and reducing the occurrence of occupational exposure, so as to ensure nurses' occupational safety.
