Effect Analysis on Fluorine Protector in Preventing Dental Caries of Preschool Children

Abstract: Objective To observe the application effects and adverse reactions of fluorine protector in preventing caries for preschool children so as to provide guidance for improving the quality of the prevention and treatment of dental caries. Methods 126 treated cases of preschool children with dental caries from March 2011 to June 2012 were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 63 cases for each group. The control group took ordinary toothpaste to brush teeth in the day and night while the treatment group took fluorine protector for prevention and treatment of dental caries. Compared the treatment effect and adverse reactions between two groups. Results After preventing caries for 1 year and 2 years, the mean of new dental caries and dental caries for the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group. comparison:after the difference was statistically significant (1 year:X2=2.025, 3.884, P=0.045, 0.000;2 years:X2=2.469, 5.392, P=0.015, 0.000). During two years' prevention and treatment of dental caries, there were no headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other adverse reactions in two groups. Conclusion Fluorine protector has significant effect in preventing dental caries among preschool children. It can effectively reduce the incidence of caries for preschool children and has obvious protective effect on baby teeth.
