Abstract: Objective Analyzed the causes of wound infection after surgery in general surgery and explored effective preventive measures. Methods Based on the particularity and weak links in grass-roots hospitals, implemented detail management on the whole perioperative period by combining actual work, developed and fully implemented preventive measures. Results Wound infections in general surgery involved in a variety of factors, which included hospital stay, wound type, irrational use of antibiotics, surgical instruments, surgical operation, improper wound treatment and postoperative care. Conclusion Full preoperative preparation, strict disinfection of surgical instruments, standardization of operation, strengthening physician's awareness of infection prevention and rational use of antibiotics can effectively reduce the incidence of surgical wound infection.
