Abstract: Objective To reduce defect rate of high-alert medication use and standardize the use of high-alert medication.Method To find out main defects and influencing factors of high-alert medication use by investigating and analyzing high-alert medication use among the hospitalized patients from ICU, department of thoracic surgery, neurosurgical ICU, take corresponding adjustment measures, optimize execution process of doctor's orders and conduct effect comparison. Results The defect rate of high-alert medication use decreased from 17.8% to 5.8%.Conclusion The key factors were found out based on the current situation so as to optimize execution process of doctor's orders, ensure the safety of patients and improve the quality of nursing.
