Abstract: Objective To analyze the effect of the application of hierarchical management model in the maternity ward nursing management. Methods In total, 19 nurses in maternity ward were selected as the study object to carry out the nursing management with hierarchical management model. Puerperae's satisfaction degree on nursing was investigated and the average numbers of patients nursed by the study object and error rates before and after the application of hierarchical management model were also studied.Results After the application of hierarchical management model, no nurse made mistakes in the process of nursing and the error rate was 0. Before the application, a total of three (15.79%) nurses made mistakes; After the application, 17 nurses averagely took care of about 72 cases every day, compared with 56 cases before, the work efficiency was significantly improved; Puerperae's satisfaction degree on nursing was 99% after the application of hierarchical management model which was significantly higher than previous 91%, more than two sets of comparison difference to be markedly, with statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of hierarchical management model in the maternity ward nursing management can improve nurses' sense of responsibility effectively and help them understand their responsibility more clearly. At the same time, nurses with different work experiences could be improved, therefore the error rate of nursing could be reduced and satisfaction degree of patients and quality of nursing could also be improved.
