Abstract: Objective Discuss the effects of risk management in improving of nursing intervention quality and reducing nursing risk in emergency treatment. Methods All nursing staffs in emergency department were covered by risk management from January to June in 2014. Nursing quality score, the incidence of nursing risk, patient satisfaction after conducting risk management were compared with those of no measures taken from July to December in 2013. Result After implementation risk management, basic nursing, technical operation, instrument drug management, disinfection isolation score were significantly higher than before. Nursing defects, nursing errors and complaints were significantly lower than before. Active report, patient satisfaction were significantly higher than before. Conclusion Risk management is conductive to improving the nursing quality of emergency treatment and reducing nursing risks.
