Abstract: Objective To discuss the application of integrated management mode among patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and its effectiveness. Methods In total, 138 IBD-patients, in accordance with the random number table, were divided into control group (n=70) and observation group (n=68). In addition to the discharge plan management given to patients in control group, patients in observation group also received disease-specific integrated management.The quality of life and anxiety status were compared for the two groups before and after the intervention. Results The comparison before and after the intervention showed that the general symptoms of patients in control group relieved, but no significant difference was found among other three dimensions and total score while all scores were significantly higher after the intervention for the observation group. The scores in all dimensions of IBDQ and total score for observation group was higher than that of the control group. After the intervention, the anxiety level reduced in both groups, but that in the observation group was much lower. Conclusion The integrated management can effectively improve the quality of life for IBD-patients and reduce their anxiety level.
