Abstract: Objective Innovative nursing quality management can improve the quality of nursing and provide quality nursing service for patients. Methods Totally 18 evaluation items in four dimensions, including core nursing mechanism implementation, nursing service and safety quality management, nursing records quality and nursing quality were developed. The scores of the evaluation will be summed up to reflect the nursing quality of each unit, based on which the bonus was made. Result After three-year implementation, the average performance was improved substantially, the management awareness of nurses was enhanced and the incidence of adverse nursing event dropped. Conclusion All head nurses and nurses have played an important role in the development of the evaluation system, selection of and amendments to evaluation indicators, implementation and feedback of quality control, problem tracking and rectification and improvement, and their potential made great contribution to the timely, proper and complete nursing.
