Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of QCC management in reducing the incidence of pressure ulcer for patients with spinal operation. Methods In total, 160 patients with spinal surgical operation participated in the study. Half of the participants received QCC management to prevent pressure ulcer and the other half in the control group received the routine prevention. Incidence of pressure ulcer, nurses' ability to prevent pressure ulcer, family/patient compliance and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of pressure ulcers in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;prevention knowledge and clinical application ability of the nurses were higher than that in the control group;the family/compliance and nursing satisfaction were better than that in the control group, all with statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion QCC management can reduce the occurrence of pressure ulcers in patients with spinal surgery, improve the nurses' professional quality and nursing quality.
