Abstract: Objective To discuss the application of PDCA cycle in the multi-resistant bacteria infection management in ICU. Method Conducted a retrospective analysis about the occurrence of multi-resistant bacteria infection (MDRO) after applying PDCA cycle in ICU from February 2013 to March 2014, and made comparison with the situation before. Result After applying PDCA cycle, the protection awareness of MDRO infection for ICU nurses had a great improvement and the incidence of MDRO infection significantly dropped, which effectively avoided the occurrence of cross infection among patients. Conclusion Applying the PDCA cycle in ICU can effectively reduce the incidence of MDRO infection and greatly improve the quality of MDRO management.
