Abstract: Objective To improve the management quality of Multidrug-Resistant Organism. Methods In this study, the time that doctors responding to Multidrug-Resistant Organism respectively reported by telephone in 2012 and by information platform in 2013 and outbreak data of Multidrug-Resistant Organism with clinical suspicion or diagnosis were also collected. Results In contrast with telephone report, the time of doctors responding to Multidrug-Resistant Organism was significantly shortened by information platform (P<0.01). Besides, the application of information platform could more effectively decrease the outbreak of Multidrug-Resistant Organism with clinical suspicion or diagnosis (P<0.05). Conclusions The application of information platform can make the Multidrug-Resistant Organism reporting much more simple and effective and most importantly decreased or even avoided the nosocomial spread and outbreak of Multidrug-Resistant Organism.
