Abstract: Objective To reduce the risk of PICC catheter in the hematopathy patients and put forward the prevention measures. Methods Patients with PICC Catheter in Department of Neoplastic Hematologic Disorder were divided into two groups with one of them using risk management and the other not. The complications, patients' satisfaction and nursing deficiency were compared. Result After the risk management, risk assessment was conducted, which showed that the complications and nursing deficiency decreased while patients became more satisfied about the care. Conclusion Through risk management, the management ability of nurses and cognitive ability of patients were improved;the complications of PICC catheter was reduced;duration of PICC catheter usage was prolonged to ensure the patients can successfully complete the regimen;the complaints for nursing decreased and patients' satisfaction was improved.
