Abstract: Objective To analyze the application value of JCI standards in the quality control of medical imaging equipment. Methods Made risk assessment on 75 medical CTs with JCI certification standard and preventive maintenance plan, detected radiation dose and mechanical capacity, parameter index of image quality and evaluated image quality before and after assessment. Result In the assessed 75 CTs, 5 were high risk equipment, 14 were middle risk equipment and 56 were low risk equipment. Applied preventive maintenance plan on them for 6 months, 12 months,24 months respectively. Yield of radiation dose index, mechanical capacity and image quality were above 85%, and light positioning accuracy, CT value, noise, layer thickness deviation, high contrast resolution, low contrast resolution, bed positioning accuracy were above 90%. The percentage of Class A image (56.13%) after implementation was significantly higher than before. Conclusion Result-oriented JCI standards was more prospective in the quality management on medical imaging equipment.
