Abstract: Objective Through quality control circle activities, discuss the causes of surgery unplanned reoperation in a certain grade A tertiary hospital and reduce the incidence of iatrogenic unplanned reoperation. Methods After analysis on the causes of unplanned reoperation with the help of quality control circle activities, strengthened the preoperative preparation and postoperative care on the condition of ensuring medical quality and safety to reduce iatrogenic unplanned reoperation, which could be a reference for the improvement of medical quality of surgical cases and the reduction of the incidence of iatrogenic unplanned reoperation Results The incidence of unplanned reoperation dropped from 2.74‰to 1.27‰after carrying out quality control circle activities (x2=6.1, P<0.01). Conclusion Quality control circle effectively reduced the incidence of unplanned reoperation. Relevant intervening measures could be promoted.
