Abstract: Due to easier acceptance and comorbidity of physical and mental disorders, the mental health services in general hospitals gained rapid development in recent years. Based on the status quo analysis of ward settings, patients admission standards, safety, risks, ward management, economic benefits in general hospital, countermeasures were put forward to improve ward management system, strengthen risk management, standardize accompanying persons management, conduct quality care and improve the overall quality of nurses and emergency response capabilities in order to promote the sustainable development of psychiatric ward in general hospital.
