Abstract: Objective Discuss the effect of applying nursing risk management to obstetrical nursing service. Method Equally divide the selected 100 pregnant women into control group and treatment group. Take regular symptomatic care on both groups and further take nursing risk management on treatment group. Compare patients' nursing satisfaction, complaint rate and nursing quality score between the two groups. Result The complaint rate of treatment group was only 2%, significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05). The nursing quality score of treatment group was 98.12±16.45, significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05). The patients' nursing satisfaction of treatment group was 94%, higher than the control group with statistical difference(P<0.05). Conclusion The application of nursing risk management to obstetrical nursing service has achieved good effect, which could decrease nurse-patient disputes and improve nursing satisfaction as well as obstetric service quality.
