A Study of Electrochemical Method for Preparation of Potassium Iodate

Abstract: 以碘和氢氧化钾为原料,用Pb-PbO2作阳极材料,应用电化学方法制备碘酸钾,并跟氯酸钾氧化法对照.实验指出:电化学法优于氯酸钾氧化法,在无隔膜条件下,电解液的最佳配方为:碘200g/L,K2Cr2O7 2g/L,KOH 85g/L.最佳电解条件为:阳极材料为Pb-PbO2,阴极为不锈钢电极,槽电压为3.5-3.7V,电流密度为25A/dm2,温度50-60℃,电解时间为6h,在该条件下,电解制造碘酸钾的产率为89.7%,电流效率为98%,产品纯度为99.2%.
