Abstract: The process of ammonia flue gas desulfurization is generally divided into three parts: desulfurization absorption, intermediate product treatment and by-product manufacturing. The absorption tower is the core equipment of ammonia desulfurization. In this paper, the absorption tower of one specific chemical plant's boiler flue gas ammonia desulfurization project is taken as the numerical simulation object of the flow field. The flue gas flow pattern in the absorption tower is analyzed. The results show that the overall pressure drop of the absorption tower system is less than 2000 PA and the slurry distribution is uniform.
