A brief account of the existing Editing of Guizhou Province R ecord in the Ming Dynasty

Abstract: After the establishment of the Province in Guizhou during the Yongle Period of the Ming Dynasty,the history of the compilation of the local records was flourishing.The provincial records were also edited many times.In addition to the official editing, there were private writings. On the basis of the previous research results,this paper gives a brief overview of the editing of the four existing provincial records,and further clarifies related issues,including the situation of the editors,the editing process, and the system settings,in order to investigate the inheritance and development of Guizhou Province’s editing in the Ming Dynasty.
