Abstract: With the origin and development of Chinese culture, Hetu&luoshu from myth and legends to the study of prophecy, and then to the evolution of black-and-white dot matrix map, and even set off a liquidation of Hetu&luoshu in the Qing Dynasty, forming a public case in the Chinese academic history. Through combing and researching this academic case, Hetu&luoshu is a combination of map and note in style, and the concrete content of its image involves the topographic map of the location and boundary of mountains and rivers. This style of writing is the origin of Tujing(图经). The local chronicles sprout from the style of Hetu&luoshu, the content is constantly increasing, the style is constantly innovating, from generation to generation, view map reading, the map is still the most vital document genre in the local chronicles.
