Abstract: Objective To assess the efficacy and complications of Q-switched alexandrite lasers in the treatment of acquired bilateral nevus of ota-like macules (ABNOM).Methods One hundred and fourteen patients with ABNOM aged from 10 to 50 years were involved in the study. All patients underwent more than 1 session of Q-switched alexandrite laser (wavelength:755 nm) treatment. Results After twice treatments,10 patients showed recovery. The curative effects were remarkable in 33 cases, effective in 43 cases and non-effective in 28 cases. The effective rate was 37.7% and the recovery rate was 8.8%.Conclusions QQ-switched alexandrite lasers appears to be effective in the treatment of ABNOM.
