Abstract: Continuing medical education is a lifelong medical education system. The development of continuing medical education in oral surgery is facing the problems of lacking policy support, doctors’ attention and education programs. The Department of Oral Surgery of the Fourth Military Medical University has successfully developed continuing medical education through accumulating advanced project, improving policy support, standardizing education process. In order to develop continuing medical education in oral surgery even better, multiple publicity approaches, innovative content and form, and targeted policy support should be considered.
