Abstract: Based on the kinetic study of the low-temperature Claus tail gas hydrogenation catalyst in laboratory, the law of sulfur-containing compounds hydrogenation reaction in the Claus tail gas was studied. The main factors affecting the performance of Claus tail gas hydrogenation catalyst were studied to illustrate the relationship between the catalyst carbon deposition rate caused by reaction of hydrocarbon contained in process gas and the hydrocarbon content, catalyst temperature and catalyst running time. The properties of the crystal phase, metal dispersion and pore structure of the Claus tail gas hydrogenation catalyst before and after thermal aging were tested by XRD and SEM techniques. The study from different angles to explore factors influencing the performances of the catalyst has guiding significance for the development and application of the low-temperature Claus tail gas hydrogenation catalyst and its supporting technology.
