Abstract: [Objective] To analyze the characteristics of the adverse events following immunization (AEFI) in Binhai New Area Tanggu of Tianjin from 2005-2014,evaluat the safety of vaccination and the sensitivity of AEFI information management system.[Methods] By reviewing previous archives and AEFI information management system,the data of AEFI cases which were reported through September 30,2014 were collected,and were statistically analyzed by descriptive epidemiological method.[Results] Totally 440 AEFI cases were reported in Binhai New Area Tanggu,and the reported incidence rate was 22.17/lakh.There were 379 (86.14%) cases of general reaction,57(12.95%) cases of abnormal reaction,3(0.68%) cases of coupling disease and 1 (0.23%) case of psychogenic response,while the quality and vaccination accident was not reported.The incidence rate of AEFI cases caused by 23 valent and 7 valent pneumococcal vaccines (115.47/lakh and 91.41/lakh) was higher than that of other vaccine.[Conclusion] The level of AEFI surveillance has continued to improve in Binhai New Area Tanggu.In future,it is necessary to continue to strengthen the training of basic staff,and continuously improve the level of AEFI surveillance,investigation,diagnosis and treatment on the basis of standard vaccination.
