Job satisfaction and its influencing factors of medical staff at private hospitals in Guizhou Province

Abstract: [Objective] To explore the job satisfaction and its influencing factors of medical staff at private hospitals in Guizhou Province,provide the scientific basis for the management of human resources at private hospitals.[Methods] The satisfaction results were statistically described and analyzed by Spearman correlation analysis,single factor and multiple linear regression analysis.[Results] The overall satisfaction score of medical staff was (3.31±0.84) points,the rate of satisfaction was 35.9%,and the satisfactions toward promotion and income were lower.The non-technical personnel,workers without positional titles,and people worked more than 8 hours daily got lower satisfaction scores,and turnover intention of medical staff was negatively correlated with overall satisfaction.Multivariate linear regression results showed that the main factors affecting the job satisfaction of medical staff were medical facilities,working environment,promotion and income.[Conclusion]A variety of factors affect the job satisfaction of medical staff,while the job satisfaction influences their turnover intention.It is necessary to set up the fair and reasonable income and promotion system,good medical facilities and the practice environment,as well as scientific work load system to enhance the job satisfaction of medical staff.
