Research progress on enzymatic preparation of cefaclor

Abstract: Cefaclor is a second-generation semi-synthetic cephalosporin antibiotic,it has strong antimicrobial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.The main methods of industrial preparation of cefaclor are established by Lilly and Shionogi companies.These synthesis processes are complicated and environmentally harmful.Enzymatic synthesis attracts much attention for enzyme exhibit mild reaction condition,high specificity,environmental protection,etc.This review briefly summarized the research progresses of preparation of immobilized penicillin acylase,and the influence of concentration of 7-ACCA,temperature,pH,the amount of enzyme,the proportion of substrate,adding organic solvent and buffer solution on reaction conversion rate.In this review,the authors also made the prospects for enzymatic preparation of cefaclor.
