Abstract: Objective To analyze the influencing factors on plasma concentrations of vancomycin. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed in 150 patients who were monitored for plasma concentrations of vancomycin from January 2013 to April 2016.Results There were significant correlations between plasma concentrations of vancomycin and age, renal function, liver function, rationality of drug use,and peripheral edema. However, gender, nutritional status, plasma albumin and basic diseases would had no obvious impact on plasma concentrations of vancomycin. Conclusions The administration dosage of vancomycin should be selected according to the renal function of patients. The plasma concentrations of vancomycin should be monitored routinely in elder patients and patients with impaired renal function, liver dysfunction,or peripheral edema.Dosage of vancomycin should be increased for middle-aged or young patients with creatinine clearance rate equal to or more than 110mL/min.
