Abstract: A fiber seismometer is a new seismic monitoring method which has the advantage of high sensitivity and strong anti?interference ability. Phase?generated carrier ( PGC) algorithm is a traditional phase calculation method, which is widely used in optical fiber interferometer due to its simple structure. However, PGC is an open loop de?tection method, which may appear harmonic distortion and demodulation accuracy reduction when the system static phase point changes dramatically. COSTAS loop is a closed?loop feedback structure in wireless communication carri?er synchronization process. In this paper, we take COSTAS loop as the feedback to PGC algorithm. Through the two quadrature signals phase?locked with the interference signal, the seismometer system phase drift can be modified and the THD of the demodulation result can be suppressed.
